Noble Savage

This series of images at first was subjected to a range of primitive artistic processes from rubbing in raw pigments and burning off of the homemade moonshine inks. Later, after being cut and sacrificed, it all resulted with weaving ‘Noble Savage’ into interchangeable reliefs. This series was also revisited in 2022. New frames were made by heavily damaging the ones previously being used. A number of reliefs were liberated from the substrate. They were set free, broken, but free.

Following images show different results of processes applied in making of this series. Printing as a method of activating the surface of paper and making it more attractive to the pigments. The drawing part included the use of homemade moonshine inks which allowed for a drawing to be set on fire. No one got injured during filming.
